The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has said that some Nigerians in Iran seeking safety have been escorted across the Armenian border by officials of the Nigerian Embassy in Iran.
According to a statement by NIDCOM Chairman/CEO, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the embassy officials facilitated the safe passage of those willing to leave amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

“So far, no Nigerian in Iran has been affected by the war,” the statement read. Dabiri-Erewa explained that government officials remain at the border to receive all Nigerians who wish to leave.
She assured that the Nigerian authorities were closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety and wellbeing of citizens in the affected regions.
