South West Regional Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Sola Ajose, has debunked allegation that he was behind the detention of Mr. Oladapo Oyelakin, and his wife, Kafayat, who claimed to be a medical personnel.
Following accusations that he was behind the unlawful detention of the couple, Ajose has decided to speak out to clear the air on what really transpired. The allegation had earlier been debunked by some close allies of the cleric, who asserted that the claims were false and intended to tarnish his reputation.
A recent statement by Ajose’s media aide, Samuel Akinyemi, said the couple are currently in lawful detention at Kirikiri and Ikoyi prisons, respectively, due to their inability to meet their bail conditions.
The statement noted that the couple are facing charges under the criminal law of Lagos State, 2015.
“Oladapo Oyelakin is accused of falsely presenting himself as a qualified medical doctor and inflicting wounds on Sola Ajose through the administration of injections. Following an investigation by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Mr. Oyelakin admitted to being a laboratory officer with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Microbiology from the Ibadan Polytechnic, obtained in 2005.
“He was, however, apprehended by the police, after evading initial questioning. His wife, Kafayat Oyelakin, is implicated as an accessory after the fact, allegedly concealing the truth about her husband’s qualifications. Both parties are currently involved in ongoing legal proceedings before the Magistrates’ Court of Lagos State,” the statement read.
The statement further emphasised Ajose’s commitment to justice, fairness, and integrity, urging the public to disregard the misleading information being circulated. It highlighted that the allegations were designed to undermine Ajose’s long-standing reputation. The statement equally reaffirmed Ajose’s dedication to the teachings of Jesus Christ and his adherence to the principles of justice and equity.
“For further updates on this case, the public is advised to follow the official communications from the court and relevant authorities,” Akinyemi said.
