Methodist Church honours 180 members to mark 180th anniversary

Methodist Church Nigeria, MCN, has honoured 180 members as part of activities marking its 180th anniversary in Nigeria.

The church will was established on September 24, 1842, in Nigeria conferred Kinght of John Wesley, KJW, on the 180 honorees on September 24, 2022, (exactly180 year) in recognition of their contributions to the church and services to humanity.

Speaking at the epochal event held at the church’s Freeman Memorial Cathedral, Badagry, Lagos State, the Methodist Prelate, His Eminence Dr. Samuel Chukwu Emeka Uche Kalu, congratulated them for their very outstanding, distinguished sterling contributions which resulted in their being accorded the highest honour attainable for lay members and charged them not to relent, but to put more efforts in serving God and humanity.

Addressing journalists at the event, the Prelate noted that Methodist Church, Nigeria, brought enlightenment into the country. He maintained that evangelism would continue until every Nigerian is converted to Christ.
