Reality TV star and actress, Mercy Eke has debunked a viral claim that she is ready to have a child outside marriage.
She refuted the claim in an X post on Tuesday.
Reports in a section of the media had quoted the unmarried BBNaija 2019 winner as saying that she planned to have a child this year but jettisoned the idea due to unforeseen circumstances.
She was further quoted as describing herself as a “goal-oriented person” who could comfortably support three children outside wedlock.

But in an X post on Tuesday afternoon, she denied making the remark or granting any interview to that effect.
Along with an anger emoji, she charged a popular newspaper that published the report online to take it down.
“Stop spreading fake news about me.
“I never said this or granted any interview,” she added.
