On June 22, 2022, the World Health Organisation (WHO) called for menstrual health to be recognized, framed and addressed as a health issue, not a hygiene issue. Following the suit with menstrual health, a medical doctor, Dr. Lawrence Olagunju, has said that women in Nigeria suffering as a result of menstrual health no longer need to suffer in silence.
According to him, immunocal is here to the rescue. He said immunocal was a novel class of immunotherapy designed for supplying the molecules needed by the body to repair itself of a broad range of damaged cells, resulting in hormone balancing for men and women, improving menstrual health for women, controlling autoimmune conditions and addressing resistant infectious diseases effectively, among many other benefits.
Olagunju, who is also founder and chief executive officer, Immunotherapy Nigeria Limited, stated that women no longer need to suffer in silence. He explained that immunocal was a bioactive/biomolecules product that has contributed significantly to improving women’s health globally, most importantly in Nigeria.
He said the product was a specially formulated undenatured whey protein isolate with over 28 micro and macromolecules. “Immunocal delivers these molecules to assist cells in maintaining optimal concentrations of the three most important biosynthesis in the body: neurotransmitters, catecholamines and intracellular glutathione synthesis.”
He further explained that, with over 40 years of research, Canadian scientists identified, isolated and packaged as immunocal the powerful healing properties found only in mother’s milk.
According to him, it is a unique formulation of 28 bioactive biomolecules that is proven with the ability to repair damaged womb and ovaries cells, restore normal, pain-free period flow and achieve good ovulation, with a potential of obtaining pregnancy faster in women who are pregnancy challenged.
He stated that the product, authorised by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) since 2006 holds several patents in the USA and worldwide and has been listed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the category of GRAS (generally recognized as safe).
