Melanie Avalon’s remarkable growth as an actress and a podcaster is a testament to her dedication and passion for her craft. Her early acting days only barely hinted at the massive potential to come: a journey that feeds her passion for inspiring and motivating people. According to Melanie, one can never really fail at anything: instead, they simply haven’t reached their goals yet. She translates that notion into a mindset in which her entire focus and effort go towards turning her dreams into reality.
Melanie’s entry into the podcasting world took place when she was faced with her own health challenges. Having always craved knowledge, Melanie sought biohacking solutions to implement the best health and lifestyle changes for her. Finding success, she shared those techniques, tools, and gadgets through the podcasting medium. Melanie is currently the host of two top iTunes shows, “The Intermittent Fasting Podcast” and “The Melanie Avalon Biohacking Podcast,” which consistently rank in the top 50 health podcasts on iTunes.
As Melanie says in her own words, “I truly believe there is no single dietary answer in our individual journeys, and I hope I may provide insights, encouragement, and motivation along the way, from my own journey. There are also so many habits and ‘hacks’ which can bring a sense of health and peace, and it warms me to share them with others.”
Initially, Melanie dedicated her career to acting. At 17, she was accepted into the early entrance program at the University of Southern California, where she double majored in film and theatre. Melanie held an impressive track record while studying at USC. She not only achieved the highest GPA in the School of Theatre, but also won a Hermes award for one of her short films, as well as the the Louise Kerckhoff Prize for best essay of the year in Gender Studies, despite not evening being in the program. Upon graduating, she quickly acquired the coveted membership of SAG-AFTRA, the prestigious acting union, and soon after was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival.
Melanie is currently developing her first supplement line, AvalonX, starting with the anti-inflammatory proteolytic enzyme serrapeptase, and aspires to develop her biohacking podcast for a TV show format, which she believes will take the world of biohacking by storm. Along the way, she finds contentment in blending her passions for the creative aspects of film, with her scholarly love for science.
