The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved seven more programmes for McPherson University (McU), Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State.
The university presented the seven academic programmes during the October/November 2023 Accreditation of Academic Programmes in Nigerian universities.
The Executive Secretary, NUC communicated the results of the accreditation exercise to the university in a statement.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Francis Igbasan, who made the disclosure at a parley with the university community attributed the success recorded to the grace of God, dedication of faculty members, staff, availability of cutting-edge resources and facilities for learning, teaching and research at all levels.
He urged them to brace up for the task ahead in repositioning the institution for greatness, saying, “we should not rest on our oars as the institution still have more grounds to cover,”
The new programmes are Medical Laboratory Science,Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Mass Communication.
Each programme maturity date subsists till 2028. With this stream of accreditation, all academic programmes in the institution are fully accredited.
