Event compere, host, emcee, facilitator, presenter. So many different titles to describe one job. Depending on the event, these titles may mean slightly different things but the skill set is the same. For Adeyemi Abimbola Ajele, popularly known as MC Ajele, he is a very versatile and experienced figure in that circuit.
As a comedian, MC Ajele, has risen to arena-headliner status on the strength of his smooth, contemporary and defiantly cultural standup. He has, over time, developed a fan base of comedy enthusiasts for himself so much that he has successfully wormed his way into the hearts of many admirers here in Nigeria —even been able to replicate that at the international level.
With over two decades of quality experience, Ajele remains a name on the lips of the high end socialites and corporate executives who want class and finesse at their events. As one of the most dynamic MCs with a flexible approach to the job, he is always a delight to behold as he delivers to the highest possible standard. With an ability to adapt, connect, and elevate any event he steps into, Ajele remains a defining force in Nigeria’s entertainment and events industry. In recent times, Nigeria’s comedy powerhouse continues to solidify his reputation as the go-to Master of Ceremony for high-profile events, effortlessly bridging the worlds of entertainment, politics, and fashion with his infectious charisma and sharp wit. He has compered both internal and public-facing conferences, networking events, a charity ball, an auction and various other business events.
Ajele, now, dominates wedding parties, corporate events and state dinners across the country. In recent weeks, Ajele has taken centre stage at three of the most talked-about events in the country which brought out some of Nigeria’s top celebrities, fashion icons and political bigwigs —Michael Afolaranmi’s lavish 50th birthday soiree; the wedding of nightlife entrepreneur Yhemolee, and the PDP Governors’ Forum dinner and presidential banquet held in honour of Dr Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone both hosted by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde. At these high-level appearances, Ajele balanced decorum with light-hearted commentary.
