Real Madrid and France star Kylian Mbappé has reacted to the achievement of scoring 400 career goals, maintaining that he has far greater objectives in football history.

According to Fabrizio Romano on Friday, Mbappe said, “400 goals don’t impress people. I want to make my mark in football history, so I have to score at least 400 more.”

The 26-year-old forward referenced the all-time greats, pointing to players with over 900 goals, saying that merely reaching 400 isn’t enough to stay among the elite who continue to astonish fans.

“There is one with 950+ goals, and another with 900+. 400 isn’t enough to stay in the circle of players who shock people,” he added, highlighting his drive to reach legendary status.

Mbappé’s statements highlight his unwavering ambition, as he continues to chase both individual and team records, hoping to cement his place among football’s greatest players.

Mbappe scored twice as France defeated Ukraine 4-0 in their World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
