Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and the Vice-Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, Very Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, are expected to lead several other dignitaries to a festschrift on International and Comparative Law in honour of HRM Prof. Dr Christian Nwachukwu Oke, the Eze Osuofia I of Obinofia Ndiuno Ancient Kingdom.
Mbah will be the chief host of the event, scheduled for 11 a.m. on August 14 at the Peter Mbah Auditorium, Godfrey Okoye University, Thinkers Corner, Enugu. Odumegwu-Ojukwu will chair the occasion.
Published by Renaissance Law Publications to celebrate the contributions of Prof. Oke to law and academia, the festschrift is edited by Prof. Agu Gab Agu and is titled The Legal and Academic Colossus: From Academia to Majesty.
Also expected to attend the presentation are the Catholic Bishop of Enugu, Most Rev. Dr Callistus Chukwuma Onaga, who will serve as the Spiritual Father of the Day, and Prof. Dr Gozie Ogbodo, Rector of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), who will review the publication.
Oke is a distinguished academic and accomplished traditional ruler who has brought to public service an uncommon blend of intellectual depth, strategic clarity and a deep sense of responsibility.
