The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu has condemned the recent killings in parts of Enugu and Ebonyi States.

There were reported incidents of killings at Eha Amufu in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu state and Nkalahia community in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

In a statement signed by Edeson Samuel, MASSOB’s National Director of Information, the pro Biafra group said it was the height of callousness for the invading herders to murder the people in their homes

MASSOB said its members and the people of Biafra are not happy the way the people were killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen in their homes.

“MASSOB is not happy, the people of Biafra are not happy over these killings and we warn they must stop forthwith.”

The pro Biafra group equally condemned the ill treatment it said was meted by security men to some women of Eha Amufu who were protesting the killing of the people by the herders

“MASSOB condemn the wickedness, subjective and inhuman measures taken by security agents in Enugu State against the peaceful and non violence protest by Eha Amufu women over the killing of their people.

MASSOB frowns at the unfortunate and shameless visit by Enugu state traditional rulers to Sokoto state in their cowardly quest to appeal to the sultan of Sokoto, Mohammadu Sa’adu Abubakar over the same sponsored killings of our people in Enugu state by the herders.”

MASSOB warned that no traditional ruler in Enugu State should cede or provide any community land to the Fulani herders for whatever reason.
