From Mohammed Abubakar, Dutse
Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has challenged elected office holders and political appointees at all levels to intensify grassroots mobilisation and enlightenment of voters on the achievements of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administrations at the federal, state and local government levels.
The governor gave the challenge while taking delivery of campaign vehicles and other campaign equipment donated by the Senator representing Jigawa North-East Senatorial District, Senator Ahmed Abdulhamid Malam Madori, to aid the grassroots mobilisation efforts of the governor and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the weekend.
The donation of the vehicles, including brand-new Toyota Hilux vehicles with modern equipment, customised T-shirts and face caps, came as the governor chaired the stakeholders’ strategic meeting of party supporters from the zone at Government House, Dutse.
The governor, who himself is from the senatorial district, commended the senator’s commitment to strengthening the APC and supporting its preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Namadi, however, urged APC candidates for various elective positions, such as senators, members of the House of Representatives, state lawmakers, local government chairmen, political appointees, party officials and other stakeholders to intensify mobilisation in their respective constituencies.
He directed party leaders and campaign officials to take the party’s message to polling units across the state and sensitise residents on the achievements of the federal, state and local governments.
The governor said the meeting was convened to develop effective campaign strategies, establish necessary committees and ensure that the party’s structures were adequately prepared for the elections.
“We have put our strategies in place and established all the necessary committees. From now on, our people will begin visiting every polling unit to sensitise and enlighten the electorate on what the APC has achieved at the federal, state and local government levels,” Namadi said.

He expressed confidence that sustained grassroots engagement would enable the party to communicate its programmes and development initiatives effectively to voters ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Malam Madori, who chairs the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, said the donation was aimed at strengthening the campaign machinery of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for effective grassroots mobilisation across the state, maintaining that the vehicles were equipped with communication gadgets to enhance coordination and facilitate campaign activities.
He disclosed that more than 10 additional buses and cars had also been made available to the APC in Jigawa North-East Senatorial District and across the state to support the campaigns of Tinubu, Namadi and other party candidates.
The senator said the two leaders deserved a second term to consolidate their achievements and complete ongoing human and infrastructural development projects.
According to him, the administrations of Tinubu and Namadi have introduced programmes and executed projects aimed at improving the living conditions of Nigerians, particularly residents of rural and urban communities.
He called on patriotic and progressive Nigerians, particularly the people of Jigawa State, to support the re-election of Tinubu and Namadi in 2027 to sustain their respective development agenda.
” Tinubu】 and Namadi deserve a second term in office to consolidate their achievements and complete ongoing human and infrastructural development projects across Jigawa State and the country,” he said.
Malam Madori believed that returning APC candidates to the National Assembly and the State House of Assembly would enable the party to sustain its legislative and development agenda.
