Mariam’s ASMR Studio is a Nigerian digital content production company founded in 2018 by content creator and entrepreneur Bakare Mariam Iyunade, professionally known as Mariams ASMR. The studio focuses on producing Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) content, a genre of audio-visual media designed to promote relaxation through carefully produced sounds and visual experiences.
According to Bakare, the studio was established at a time when ASMR content had limited visibility in Nigeria and across much of Africa. She describes Mariam’s ASMR Studio as one of the first dedicated ASMR production studios on the continent.
Operating under the Mariams ASMR brand, the studio produces videos featuring sound design, whispering, roleplay, object-based sound triggers and immersive visual storytelling. The content is intended to provide viewers with a calming experience and is commonly associated with relaxation and sleep support.
Since its launch, the studio has maintained a regular publishing schedule across major digital platforms. Bakare has built an online audience of more than 4.3 million followers on TikTok, alongside over 423,000 followers on Instagram. Her YouTube channel has about 200,000 subscribers and more than 52 million cumulative views.

Bakare, a graduate of Pharmacology from Olabisi Onabanjo University, founded the studio in the same year she began producing ASMR content professionally. Beyond digital content creation, she is also the founder of Maiycare Enterprise Ltd, a Nigerian cosmetics company.
Before entering the digital media industry, Bakare participated in several beauty pageants, winning titles including Miss Isanbi 2016, Miss Glo Ojude Oba 2017, Miss Epe Lagos State 2018 and Miss NYSC Edo State 2019.
As interest in ASMR continues to grow globally, Mariam’s ASMR Studio reflects the emergence of Nigerian creators exploring the genre while producing content for audiences in Nigeria and abroad.
