Many people were injured as a one-storey building collapsed at Adeolu Street, Sari-Igamu, Lagos.
It was gathered that at about 8:30 am, the one-storey building collapsed without any prior sign.
A resident, Agada Mathew, said that people, including himself, were surprised that no life was lost as occupants of the building were counted and no one was missing.
“There is no better way to describe what happened than as divine intervention. We are still feeling that something bigger than man’s Immigration happened. God really intervened,” he said.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Benjamin Hundyin confirmed that the building collapsed around 8 am but said no life was lost.
“Yes, there was a building that collapsed this morning at Number 1, Adeolu Street, Sari-Igamu.
“The scene was visited by the police. All the occupants and their property were safely evacuated. No life was lost.”
