Newly appointed Golden Eaglets coach, Manu Garba has disclosed that 51 players have been invited to open training camp in Abuja ahead of next month’s WAFU B U17 AFCON qualifiers in Ghana.
Manu said the camp will likely open today.
The coach also said he personally scouted majority of these players across the country, while stakeholders recommended some other players.
He assured that a good number of these call-ups are eligible, as they have already undergone the mandatory MRI age tests on their own.
The U17 AFCON qualifiers will kick off on May 15 in Ghana.
The Golden Eaglets are the defending champions after they defeated Burkina Faso in the sub-regional final two years ago also in Ghana.
