Manchester United began their Champions League campaign with a 4-0 victory over Azerbaijani side Sabah on Thursday.
Matheus Cunha opened the scoring in the 28th minute before Bruno Fernandes doubled United’s lead seven minutes before half-time.
Benjamin Sesko added a third shortly before the break as United went into half-time with a commanding advantage.
Lisandro Martinez completed the scoring in the 69th minute to seal a comfortable victory for Michael Carrick’s side.
The result gives United three points from their opening Champions League fixture as they return to Europe’s premier club competition after a three-year absence.
United will now turn their attention to their next fixture as they continue their Champions League campaign.
