Manchester United claimed a dramatic 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, for the first time since 2016.
Bryan Mbeumo grabbed United’s opener just two minutes into the encounter, converting Amad’s pass on a quick break to stun a raucous Anfield crowd.
Both teams came close to scoring on several occasions until Cody Gakpo grabbed an equaliser for Liverpool in the 78th minute, off a Federico Chiesa assist.

Harry Maguire latched on to Bruno Fernandes’ cross to head home United’s second in the 84th minute.
Ruben Amorim’s team held on tightly for the victory in regulation time plus eight minutes of added time despite intense pressure from the hosts.
The hard-fought victory raised United to ninth on the league table with 13 points after eight games, a point behind fifth-place Chelsea.
