Man, 52, sells brother’s skull for N12,000 in Ebonyi

A 52 years old man,  Ugoegu Nwaji,  a native of Onunwakpu Igbeagu in Izzi Local Government ,Ebonyi State, has exhumed his late younger brother’s skull and sold it for N12,000.

The state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp(NSCDC), Francis Nnadi who paraded the suspect ,a hunter at the headquarters of the corp in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital, said the man sold the skull  to a native doctor for ritual purposes.

According to Nnadi, Nwaji  exhumed the remains of his younger brother, Ogor Mmboyi and sold the skull  to the native doctor, Nwodo Nwenyi, who needed it to perform Okite money rituals for his clients.

“ The skull was found at the shrine of Nwenyi at same address. The said brother died two years ago according to the hunter,” he said.

The command also paraded three suspects accused of economically sabotaging the state government by allegedly conspiring to steal 68 bags of cement meant for ongoing construction of two kilometers concrete road at Ekerigwe village, Umuezekoha community of Ezza North LGA.

The suspects include: the procurement officer of the company handling the project,the  Site Security and driver of the conveying truck.

Nnadi disclosed that out of the 68 bags of cement looted ,only 16 bags were recovered by men of the Corp.

He said the  suspects would be charged to court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution after indepth investigations .
