Former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman has been remanded in prison by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

The order was given on Thursday by Justice James Omotosho at the resumed hearing of the N33 billion money laundering case which was stepped down earlier.

Daily Sun reported that Mamman collapsed in court on Thursday before proceedings began, stalling his arraignment.

At the resumed hearing, the ex-minister pleaded not guilty to the 12-count money laundering charge preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Subsequently, Mamman, who served under President Muhammadu Buhari from 2019 to 2021, was ordered to be remanded in prison pending consideration of his bail application.
