All is now set for the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari’s to Makurdi, the Benue State capital today in continuation of his nationwide re-election campaigns.
The Aper Aku Stadium, venue of the campaign rally is at the moment filled to capacity with APC supporters who have come from all parts of the state to witness the occasion.
The President is yet to arrive at the stadium but it is learnt that he had already arrived at the Makurdi Airport with a huge entourage.
Although our correspondent gathered that the state governor, Samuel Ortom had gone to the airport to receive him, that is yet to be verified at the time of this report.
A helicopter has been seen hovering over the Aper Aku Stadium, venue of the rally while it was announced that the president and his entourage had gone to meet with traditional rulers.
There is so much excitement in the air as party faithful dance gleefully to different music blaring from the loudspeakers in the arena.
