The Lagos fashion scene was recently taken by storm, as Soares Man Collection celebrated its grand opening with a dazzling fashion extravaganza.
According to the young and enterprising fashion designer as well as Creative Head, Soares Anthony Clothing, “Making quality outfits and customer satisfaction are very important to me, while my collections are unique and proudly Nigerian.”
He further stated: “Nigerian designers are very creative and making bespoke outfits, and I make outfits for men who love to look elegant, classy and standout from the crowd. Soares Man Collection is about bringing out the best side of my clients when they dress up and step out. Our fashionable pieces are made with our clients in mind. We work effectively to make our clients happy.”
On inspiration, Anthony said, “I get my inspiration from artworks, colours, environment and nature, and fashion has been in me since my childhood days. Going into fashion designing is a result of passion. I used to draw and sketch when I was younger. I did sciences in school and went into modeling but upon graduation, I decided to go into fashion because that is where my passion lies. I love to be creative with my hands.
I put my mind to work and learned how to cut and do other basic things at Ade Bakare Couture. I respect him a lot because of his humility and encouragement. He is my mentor and has been very supportive since 2012 when I started.”
