Agbaweh Steven Oghenemaro, known professionally as Maio, is a contemporary Christian and inspirational artist based in Lagos, whose music deeply resonates with themes of faith, love, hope, and humanity. Originally from Delta State, Maio made the move to Lagos in 2021 to pursue his musical aspirations more vigorously.

In his quest for greatness, Maio participated in the prestigious Nigerian Idol, West Africa’s premier music platform, during Seasons 8 and 9. His incredible journey culminated in a top-5 finish in the 2024 season, where his electrifying performances won the hearts of fans around the globe.
That same year, Maio celebrated another significant achievement by hosting his debut live concert in Lagos, titled MAIO LIVE. The event was a remarkable success, with a sold-out audience eager to experience his dynamic artistry and uplifting music.
Maio’s artistry is characterized by his ability to navigate various genres within pop culture while conveying messages of the gospel, love, and hope. He has previously released various singles titled “ Heavenly therapy, For me, Life, Wait and From my heart.
