Fast-rising American rapper, Mark Henriquez better known as Gremlin has said he chose to mention God more in his recent songs because mainstream music promotes Satan.

The “All For You” singer said this in a Facebook post on Thursday.

He said, “I have a lot of people asking me why I started saying ‘God’ more in my music, & it’s because mainstream music always praises satan so someone needs to step up and bring light for once!!”

Gremlin makes music that tackles real-life issues, evident in his song “Us vs Them” where he confronts the music industry’s pressure to conform for radio play.

While not a mainstream name yet, Gremlin is building a following online with platforms like YouTube showcasing his music.

“I make music for people who’ve gone through pain and feel broken. My community is built of those who don’t let their past define them and are working towards being a better version of themselves,” the rapper said.
