Former Senate Leader Ali Ndume has advised the federal government to prioritise security over preparations for the 2027 elections in the wake of the explosions in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Speaking in a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday, Ndume urged the current administration to focus on governance, particularly the security of lives and property and the welfare of citizens.
Ndume, who represents Borno South, pointed out that the security of lives and property, and the welfare of citizens are the primary responsibilities of the government.
