French President Emmanuel Macron hosted Nigerian President Bola Tinubu to a private dinner at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Thursday.
The meeting was disclosed on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, in a post on X.
According to Onanuga, the private dinner provided an opportunity for the two leaders to highlight the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and France.

He said the engagement also reflected the commitment of both countries to deepening bilateral cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
The meeting between Tinubu and Macron comes as Nigeria and France continue to maintain diplomatic and economic relations, with both countries engaging on issues of shared interest.
Onanuga did not disclose details of the discussions held during the private dinner.
