United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has announced plans to host the latest edition of its quarterly UBA Business Series, bringing together leading entrepreneurs, investors and innovators to discuss how businesses can convert customer feedback into technology-driven solutions tailored to Africa’s unique challenges.
The virtual event, scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (WAT), is themed “Building for Africa’s Realities: Turning Consumer Feedback into Technology-Driven Solutions.” It will explore how businesses can design products and services that respond directly to the needs of African consumers rather than adopting solutions developed for other markets.

The session will be streamed live across UBA’s digital platforms, including the bank’s YouTube channel, allowing entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders from across Africa to participate online.
The event will feature rapper and entrepreneur M.I Abaga, venture capitalist and co-founder of Octerra Capital, Ashim Egunjobi, and Chowdeck co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Femi Aluko. The discussion will be moderated by media entrepreneur and founder of InnovationBed Africa, Adaora Mbelu.
According to UBA, the speakers will draw from their experiences in building businesses and investing in African startups, offering practical insights into product development, customer engagement and innovation in rapidly changing markets.
Speaking ahead of the event, UBA’s Group Head of Brands, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, said the initiative underscores the bank’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and businesses driving economic growth across the continent.
