Nkechi is the better half of Femi Soneye, an ex-United States Navy officer and former Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited. Femi had used the occasion to honour a woman he described as his unwavering support system, applauding her for raising their three children with strong values rooted in faith, discipline, and respect.

Nkechi is a highly accomplished healthcare professional whose career spans decades of dedication to patient care and community well-being. She is a Maryland, United States board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
