Lagos State Hotelier Association (LSHA) and members of All Progressives Congress (APC) have frowned at speculations of plotting an interim government to subdue victory of president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This was said in a press briefing organised by an APC chieftain, Hameed Olarenwaju, alongside President, LSHA, Oluomo Talabi.
The duo, while drumming support for the president-elect, said call for interim government and the lingering tribal war will do more harms than good to the development of the nation.
“Tinubu is a unifier and he remains the most experienced among other candidates. As a nation, we shouldn’t see election as a do-or-die affair; but it’s surprising seeing parties that didn’t come close to winning heading to court and inspiring their followers to activities capable of leading to tribal war.
“The president-elect opted for an all Muslim ticket because he believes that’s the best tool for him to win hearts of all Nigerians and party members.
“He never aimed at any negativity as some part of the country portrayed. The fact that the incoming first lady is a Christian, shows he has never neglected anyone based on religion. As for the alleged closure of shops and markets dominated by other tribes, I can boldly say the party knows nothing about this. I’m sure the truth will be revealed in due time.
“Call for interim government is a needless topic as this point in time and I urge Nigerians to remain positive,” he said.
