A former presidential aspirant under the Labour Party (LP) and leader of the Rescue Movement for New Nigeria, Mr Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, popularly known as Fadojoe, has called on Christians and adherents of other religions to embrace peace, unity, and harmonious living as the world celebrates Christmas.

In a Christmas goodwill message made available to journalists, the United States–based nurse described Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace and urged Nigerians to reflect this virtue by promoting peaceful coexistence regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or religious affiliation.

According to him, “This Christmas season should serve as a reminder that the Prince of Peace whose birth we are celebrating will be most pleased if we foster harmonious living in a peaceful environment.” Joseph also offered prayers for Nigeria, calling on divine intervention to address the nation’s security challenges. “I pray for my dear country, Nigeria, that the Prince of Peace will intervene in our affairs, end insecurity, and bring lasting peace to all Nigerians,” he said.

He further stressed the importance of continued prayers for the country, noting that the prevailing insecurity has affected all citizens, either directly or indirectly. He called for greater understanding and unity among Nigerians.

“I urge people of the two major religions in Nigeria to remember that they are Nigerians first before their religious affiliations, and to live together as brethren in peace and harmony, without allowing politicians to use religion or other sentiments to divide us for selfish purposes,” he added. He extended warm seasonal wishes to Nigerians.
