Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has once again established his impact, scoring a goal in Atalanta’s commanding 2-0 victory against Fiorentina at the Gewiss Stadium on Sunday.
After a challenging start to the season, Lookman swiftly asserted his presence on the pitch, doubling Atalanta’s lead early in the second half following Odilon Kossounou’s opening goal.
Reacting swiftly inside the box, Lookman made his mark just six minutes after the restart by capitalizing on Fiorentina’s failure to clear a corner in the 51st minute.
With this goal, Lookman has now netted two in nine Serie A appearances, signalling a significant turnaround after a tumultuous summer marked by an unsuccessful move to Inter Milan.
He had previously showcased his return to form with a goal against Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League midweek.
