Lookman bags Atalanta Player of the season award

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has again been named the Player of the Season by his Italian Serie A club Atalanta.
He won the award for the previous season.
This past season, he scored a history-making hat-trick for Atalanta to win a first-ever European honour, the UEFA Europa League, at the expense of undefeated Bayer Leverkusen.
He was Man of the Final and netted five goals and made an assist in 11 appearances in the Europa League.
In the Serie A, Lookman, 26, netted 11 goals and provided eight assists in 31 appearances last season.
Atalanta will play in the UEFA Champions League in the coming season.
He was also joint leading scorer for the Super Eagles at the delayed 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire in February.
