Liverpool is planning to hold discussions with Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, currently with Atalanta, regarding a potential summer move, according to CaughtOffside.

The Premier League champion has been monitoring the Nigerian player’s situation in Italy as he might seek a new challenge after spending three years in Bergamo.

Liverpool is not the only club interested in Lookman; Barcelona, Juventus, and Manchester United have also shown early interest in the former Everton forward.

Atalanta is reportedly asking for around €65 million (£55 million) for Lookman, who still has over two years remaining on his contract, which runs until June 2027.

CaughtOffside reports that Liverpool is looking for replacements for both Darwin Núñez and Diogo Jota this summer, and Lookman could be an upgrade over the two strikers. The Nigerian international has emerged as one of the world’s best players during his time at Atalanta, scoring 50 goals and providing 24 assists in 115 appearances.

Lookman joined Atalanta after facing challenges during his stint with Leicester City in 2022, where he played a pivotal role in leading the club to a Europa League title last season, even scoring a hat-trick in the final against Bayer Leverkusen.
