According to Football365, Liverpool has sent an offer to Atletico Madrid for the 33-year-old this summer. This is mostly because the Reds want to usher in a new era after Jurgen Klopp’s departure.
However, Atletico Madrid is thought to be disinterested in taking up the offer. To preserve their budget, the Spanish club is reportedly looking at players with a lesser profile and salary.
According to Capology, Van Dijk makes £220,000 each week, not counting incentives.
