Stephanie Linus has advocated for improved global health for women and girls at the US Capitol in Washington DC.

She underscored the importance of prioritising the health of these vulnerable people in her presentation as a speaker at an event powered by Pathfinder International, Catalyst Global Strategies, What to Expect Project, UN Women, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and Extended Hands Foundation.

Her remark was in line with the US government-supported global health programmes to improve the lives of women and girls in the developing world in ways that extend beyond improving health outcomes.

As a UNFPA Regional Ambassador and founder of the Extended Hands Foundation, Linus discussed her work with several gender-based awareness and intervention projects across the world.

She led a discourse on how lack of access to health care and overlapping areas of inequity keep girls out of school, limit educational opportunities, and keep them from living the lives they choose.

With the CEO of Catalyst Global Strategies, Algene Sajery as the coordinator of the event, the Senior Global Technical and Strategy Advisor, Pathfinder International, Lydia Murithi; the Chief Strategic Engagement Officer, of Pathfinder International, Crystal Lander; President and CEO of What to Expect Project, Annie Toro and the Chief, Washington Office, UNFPA, Sarah Craven also made their remarks.
