Following the success of her critically acclaimed Netflix debut Dark October, renowned media entrepreneur and filmmaker, Linda Ikeji is set to captivate audiences once again with her second feature film titled Reverse, scheduled for release in cinemas nationwide on May 16, 2025.

Reverse, written and produced by Linda Ikeji and co-produced by Dami Dawson, is distributed by Nile Entertainment. The gripping drama tells the emotional story of a young girl whose simple act of courage turns her world upside down. After witnessing a storekeeper assaulting a little boy in a grocery store, she steps in to intervene; unaware that the series of events she sets in motion will forever alter the course of her life.

The film boasts a powerful ensemble cast, featuring some of Nollywood’s finest talents including Hilda Dokubo, Antar Laniyan, Susan Pwajok, Kalu Ikeagwu, Yvonne Jegede, and many more. Their compelling performances bring depth and authenticity to a story that explores courage, consequence, and the unseen battles people face.

Speaking on the upcoming release, Linda Ikeji said, “After Dark October, I knew I wanted to tell stories that not only entertain but also provoke thought and stir emotions. Reverse is a story about bravery, consequences, and the ripple effects of one decision. I am excited for audiences to experience it.”

Dark October, her first feature film released in February 2023, tackled real-life events and was met with widespread acclaim for its bold storytelling. With Reverse, Linda Ikeji cements her place as a storyteller committed to bringing socially conscious and emotionally resonant narratives to the forefront of African cinema.

Reverse will be available in major cinemas across Nigeria starting May 16, 2025.
