Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi was one of the Nice players beaten up by their own supporters following the team’s 3-1 loss to Lorient.

According to ESPN, the incident occurred on Sunday night, after they returned from the game.

Approximately 400 Ultras waited outside the club’s training field and attacked the players as they came off the bus.

Moffi, who had his hair pulled and was kicked, has been put on sick leave for one week and Boga for five days.

The duo visited local police on Monday to press charges against the alleged assailants.

On Monday, Nice released a statement, in which they noted that “the excesses we saw during this gathering are unacceptable” and that they “condemn these acts with the highest toughness.”

The loss in Brittany was Nice’s sixth in a row in all competitions.
