Life Lager Beer has unveiled the first 10 participants selected from the Aba region for its Nwa Boi Experience entrepreneurship initiative, marking another milestone in the programme designed to identify and empower young business talents across the South-East.

The participants were announced at an event held at Lavianto in Owerri, which attracted young entrepreneurs, business owners and aspiring leaders from across the region.

The Aba region Top 10 participants are Tochukwu O., Chidiebere N., Okoro Chibueze, Ifeanyi Jephta, Okoroji K., Ogueri I., Gladys Chisom, Courage C., Obinna Kamalu and Enyinnaya I.

Speaking during the unveiling, Regional Trade Marketing Manager, Nnamdi Okafor, said the initiative goes beyond competition and serves as a platform to recognise and support young entrepreneurs who exemplify the values of enterprise, resilience and ambition.

“The Nwa Boi Experience is more than a competition; it is a platform created to recognise and empower young entrepreneurs who embody the values of resilience, enterprise, and ambition. The quality of participants we have seen in Owerri is a strong reflection of the entrepreneurial spirit that exists across the South East, and we are excited to support them on their journey,” he said.

Inspired by the widely acclaimed Igbo apprenticeship model, the Nwa Boi Experience seeks to nurture ambitious young entrepreneurs and equip them with the skills required to become successful business leaders and future beer merchants.

The programme combines mentorship, practical learning opportunities and business challenges aimed at helping participants build sustainable ventures while contributing to economic growth within their communities.

Organisers said the selected participants emerged from a competitive process that required applicants to submit proposals outlining innovative strategies for marketing and growing beer sales within their communities.

The entries were assessed based on creativity, commercial viability and the applicants’ understanding of market dynamics, with the top performers advancing to the next stage of the competition.

According to the organisers, the emergence of the Aba Region Top 10 highlights the depth of entrepreneurial talent in the region and the growing influence of young business-minded individuals driving innovation and economic activity.

The event was anchored by media personality and entrepreneur Noble Chibuzor Igwe, popularly known as Noble Igwe, who encouraged participants to broaden their ambitions and take advantage of opportunities presented through entrepreneurship.

Drawing from his experience as co-founder of the 360 Group, Igwe urged the participants to remain focused, innovative and resilient as they progress through the competition.

With the first 10 participants from the Aba region now unveiled, attention has shifted to the next phase of the programme as more aspiring entrepreneurs compete for places among the final Top 30 participants.

Organisers said the search remains open for other young entrepreneurs seeking an opportunity to showcase their ideas, demonstrate their business acumen and become part of the next generation of business leaders emerging from the South-East.
