Life Lager has empowered 30 young beer merchants from South East Nigeria with tricycles and cash prizes under its Nwa Boi Experience programme.
The initiative is designed to support young people following the traditional Nwa Boi system, which provides an avenue for apprentices to learn trades, gain business experience and eventually establish their own enterprises.
A major part of the empowerment is the provision of tricycles, popularly known as Keke, to the 30 selected participants.
The tricycles are expected to help the beneficiaries transport beer and make deliveries to different outlets, addressing one of the major operational needs of beer merchants.
For businesses that depend on moving products between locations, having dedicated means of transportation can make deliveries easier and help merchants serve more customers.

Beyond the tricycles, the programme also provides cash prizes for finalists to give them additional capital to grow their businesses.
The Nwa Boi Experience brings together selected beer merchants from across the Southeast, with activities focused on business development, participation and competition.
Life Lager said the support was aimed at providing resources directly linked to the day-to-day needs of the beneficiaries as they build and expand their businesses.
For the 30 participants, the combination of tricycles and cash prizes provides practical support for product distribution and business expansion.
