Stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have assured total support for all the local government and councilorship candidates of the party in the August 22 elections in the state.
The stakeholders and leaders, also promised to give 100 percent votes to Governor Francis Nwifuru and all APC candidates contesting the 2027 general elections.
They declared their unalloyed support for the governor and the candidates of the party during the APC campaign rally in Edda Local Government Area of the state, on Wednesday.
Speaking during the rally, Chairman of the party in the state, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha, said 2027 elections would offer the stakeholders and leaders an opportunity to pay the governor back for the good things he has been doing for the people of the state.

He thanked the governor for returning him for a second term as chairman of the ruling party, and for the numerous projects being undertaken by his administration across the 13 local government areas of the state.
In his remarks, Chairman of the occasion and former Senator (Ebonyi South), Chief Sunny Ogbuoji, thanked the governor and the leaders of APC for the choice of Hon. Simeon Oko as the APC chairmanship candidate for Edda local government area.
He assured the governor that his people will vote massively for the APC chairmanship candidate and all the councilorship candidates of the party in the August 22 local government area elections.
Outgoing Chairman of the council, Chima Ekumankama, used the occasion to thank the governor and the party for the opportunity given to him to serve the people of Edda. He promised to support a peaceful transition that will usher in the administration of the incoming chairman.
Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, who represented the governor at the rally, urged Edda people to sustain their support for the ruling party, promising to continue to support community development and empowerment of sons and daughters of the council.
