Nigerian leaders should obey rule of law – US-based cleric

Nigeria’s current socio-economic challenges can only be eradicated only when the nation’s leaders add respect to rule of law  in their various endeavours. The leaders were also enjoined to refrain from being selfish and jettison self-centerdness.

The call was made in Lagos by His Eminence Baba Aladura Dr. Olufemi Farinloye while speaking on the State of the Nation.

Elder Farinloye said that the major problem affecting the country was lack of respect for the rule of law. The clergyman, who posited that Nigeria would still come out of the various challenges she is confronted with. Elder Farinloye also regreted that the enormous resources endowed were enough to sustain the country as successive governments in the country ignored wise counsel to reposition the country.

He also called on political leaders in the country to play the game with the fair of God in them.
