The Convener of the Idoma Hall of Fame, Engr. Agaba Ikwue, has called on the people of Idoma land to embrace a new era of unity, collaboration and purposeful development following the successful 2026 Idoma Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Annual Lecture.
Ikwue made the call in a message of appreciation dated October 19, 2026, in which he expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the historic event.
He acknowledged the contributions of the Advisory Board, Management Team, Inductees Review Committee, Central Planning Committee, inductees, sponsors, partners, volunteers, guests and Idoma sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora.
According to him, the success of the ceremony demonstrated what the people could achieve when they united around a common purpose.
“I am deeply humbled by the encouragement and confidence shown in the Idoma Hall of Fame. What we witnessed was more than an event; it was a demonstration of what we can accomplish when we unite around a common purpose,” he said.
The convener urged the people to shun bitterness, division, unnecessary rivalry and sentiments capable of weakening their collective strength.
He stressed that the development of Idoma land required the collective efforts of individuals and groups, adding that the people must learn to support one another, celebrate each other’s successes and disagree without destroying relationships or undermining worthy initiatives.
Ikwue further called for greater attention to critical areas of development, including education, infrastructure, enterprise, healthcare, culture, technology, leadership, youth and women empowerment, agriculture and human capital development.
He said the Idoma Hall of Fame would continue to celebrate excellence, preserve the people’s heritage and inspire future generations, while emphasising that the responsibility for the overall development of Idoma land rested on everyone.
“Let this celebration mark the beginning of a stronger culture of unity, collaboration and purposeful development,” he stated.
He added: “Together, we can build an Idoma nation whose greatest days are still ahead.”
Ikwue concluded by thanking all those who contributed to the success of the ceremony and expressed optimism about celebrating more achievements together.
