Leicester City’s Harry Winks is hopeful the experience of Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will count as the Foxes bid to get their promotion race on track with today’s game against play-off contenders Norwich City at the King Power Stadium.
Things are not looking good for the Foxes, who have only one win in their last six games and the wobble of form under Enzo Maresca is causing concern for fans as they watch their automatic promotion hopes slip away.
“It will be a difficult game. They’re a good side. They’re looking to try and get into the play-offs, so it’s going be tough.
“It’s eight games to find some form, to get back into confidence, and we’ve got good enough players and a good enough squad to do that.”
But with Wilfred Ndidi back fit and he’s a player that Winks feels will add to the club’s strength for the run in.
“We’ve got players in the team who have done that before, and they’ve been here and they’ve been in these situations and right now’s not the time to blame or to sulk or to be down.”
“Yes, he’s a key player for us. It’s important that we have as many players fit in this last month because going into this period of games where there’s so many matches in such a short space of time, it’s important we have as many players fit as possible.
“So to get Ndidi back in is good for us and important going into the last eight matches.”
