The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said its newly introduced toll-free call service handled 2,843 public engagements in its first month of operation, with enquiries accounting for the largest share of interactions.
The agency disclosed on Wednesday that the calls were received between June 28 and July 29, 2026, through its 3367 toll-free line operated by its Digital Centre. According to LASTMA, the engagements comprised 1,047 enquiry calls, 709 commendation calls, 468 resolved cases, 400 reports of road traffic accidents and vehicle breakdowns, 163 formal complaints, 11 information requests, and 45 unsuccessful calls attributed to abandoned calls, network interruptions, and other technical issues.
The agency also announced the establishment of a Physical Complaint Centre at its headquarters in Oshodi to provide an additional channel for members of the public to submit complaints, make enquiries, and report traffic-related issues, including complaints involving the conduct of LASTMA personnel.
General Manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, said the Physical Complaint Centre was intended to complement the toll-free service by providing an option for residents who prefer in-person engagement.

“The Physical Complaint Centre complements our 3367 Toll-Free Call Centre by providing members of the public who prefer face-to-face engagement with a convenient platform to report traffic-related concerns, seek clarifications, and lodge complaints regarding the conduct of our officers. Every complaint received is accorded the utmost seriousness and subjected to painstaking investigation in strict compliance with established administrative procedures, extant regulations, and the immutable principles of natural justice,” Bakare-Oki said.
He said the agency would continue to investigate complaints received through its reporting channels and take disciplinary action against any officer found culpable after due process.
The agency urged motorists, commuters, transport operators, and other road users to make use of the available complaint and feedback channels to report traffic-related concerns.
