The old boys of Eziama High School, Aba, have appealed to Governor Alex Otti to intervene and save the college from the clutches of land grabbers.
In a statement signed by the President, James Chikwendu; Secretary, Chidozie Edede; and Public Relations Officer (PRO), Cosmas Ibeabuchi, the old boys noted the encroachment of the school by land grabbers, which they said has seriously distorted the college’s master plan.
“We call on Abia State Government to investigate the encroachment of the school land with a view to restoring the master plan and providing conducive environment for learning,” the statement stated.

The Old boys called on the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education in the state, Goodluck Ubochi, to pay a visit to the school towards having a firsthand assessment of the situation.
The statement also conveyed the dismay of the Old Boys over the dilapidated nature of structures in the college, and appealed to the state government to, take over the school to save it from total collapse.
The school is among those that were returned to missions by the administration of ex-Governor Theodore Orji about 12 years ago.
