Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for directing the Federal Ministry of Finance to refund the state N22 billion spent on federal roads projects in the state.
He noted that the President had promised Plateau people that Federal Government would refund all the money the state has expended in putting federal roads which were death traps into good shape.
Lalong in a statement through Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Yakubu Dati, said the directive of the President was in fulfilment of one of the promises he made when he visited Plateau in March this year.
He described Buhari as a prudent manager of human resources Nigeria need at the present period of scarce resource in the country.

Governor Lalong said President Buhari exhibited high level of fairness, justice and equity in the distribution of national resources across the 36 states including Abuja.
He said the President was impressed with the dualization of Mararaban Jama’a road, a federal government project which was named after President Muhamadu Buhari said he will refund the money to Plateau State Government to enable them carry out new projects.
Lalong said the disbursement of such funds will strengthen the existing synergy between Federal Government and Plateau State under his administration to yield more desired dividends of democracy.
He urged Plateau people to accept in good faith the opportunities being created by the present administration in the interest of all devoid of religion, ethnic and political affiliation.
Lalong called on the people to pray and support President Muhammadu Buhari second tenure and assured the state that every community will feel government presents in terms of dividend of democracy.
