The Lagos State Police Command has busted and sealed a suspected illegal factory allegedly used for the production and packaging of adulterated alcoholic drinks in Badagry.
The operation led to the arrest of 48-year-old Anaebo Emeka Hilary at Yafin, Badagry, Lagos State, where the suspected illegal factory was located.
During the operation, police operatives recovered adulterated alcoholic drinks, empty bottles, different wine labels and various production utensils suspected to have been used in the production and packaging of the drinks.
Following the discovery, the factory was immediately sealed, while the suspect was taken into police custody for questioning.

The recovered items have also been deposited at the police station as investigations continue to unravel the source and extent of the suspected adulterated-drinks operation.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Fatai Tijani, commended the operatives for their vigilance and prompt response to credible information.
Adebisi said the Commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to sustaining intelligence-led operations against criminal activities across the state.
She urged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to the police to assist in preventing and tackling criminal activities.
