The Disciplinary Committee of the Lagos State Chapter of the People Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday suspended former Deputy National Chairman of the party, Chief Olabode George, and 23 others over what it described as anti-party activities.
The disciplinary committee in a statement signed by its chairman, Elder Kayode Ogunbiyi, and the secretary, Barrister Desmond Agbo, respectively, said the decision became imperative as the party could no longer tolerate conducts that are likely to cause disaffection among members.
The decision to suspend George and other erring members was contained in the resolution of the meeting held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, where various petitions were presented against certain notable personalities and other members bordering on issues of anti-party activities, deliberate infractions of the PDP Constitution.
The Committee also reviewed the action previously taken against the former Chief Olabode George, by the National Executive Committee (NEC), which suspended him from the party, and reaffirmed that he remains suspended as earlier pronounced.
