The Royal Highness of Nnewi, Dr. Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu III, has attributed most of the socio-economic and political challenges ravaging Nigeria and the world at large to lack of love and tolerance.
The monarch stated this at the weekend in Abuja when the Nnewi community in Abuja hosted him.
He stressed that a nation without love and peaceful coexistence suffer set backs in terms of developmental strides and other economic indices, saying that love is all that is needed to change the world.
President of Nnewi Community in Abuja, Ude Ikeotuonye, in his remarks described the monarch as peace loving man, whose reign has brought significant development to the Nnewi community both at home and those in diaspora.
He urged politicians and other leaders to emulate him for a better and greater society. “As the oldest Monarch in Africa, he is the best, he has reigned for more than 55 years. He is a peaceful man and through his reign Nnewi has moved on in several ways in terms of increased economic activities, politics and the rest.
“He is the man of the people who leads by example. I wish others would borrow a leaf from him, then, Nigeria will be a better place.”
Likewise, Hon Chris Azubogu, a member representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, in his remarks appreciated the Monarch for contribution to the the community and the entire Igbo nation.
“He means a lot to the Nnewi people,the Anambra state and the Igbo nation as general. He is very peaceful and industrious man. Since his reign, the land has experienced tremendous growths, commercially, academically, and otherwise which can only be attributed to the level of security in the place.”
