The Chairmen of the Osun and Kwara State Basketball Association, Babalola Opeyemi and Aliu Jubril, were allegedly prevented from accessing the venue of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Extraordinary Congress in Yola, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to a statement circulating on social media, Opeyemi was allegedly locked out of the congress venue by personnel of the Nigeria Police acting on the instruction of the NBBF five-man executive committee.

In another update from Yola, BSN Sports learned that Kwara State Basketball Chairman was also prevented from gaining entrance into the Congress hall.
The statement described Opeyemi as a critical stakeholder and significant investor in Nigerian basketball, particularly in relation to basketball activities in Osun State.
