Kwara Gov Commiserates with Katsina over Kankara Attacks

From Layi Olanrewaju, Ilorin

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has sent his condolences to Governor Dikko Umar Radda and the people of Katsina State over the unfortunate terrorist attacks that killed many people, including four policemen, in Kankara Local Government Area of the state.

The governor condemns the cowardly attacks on innocent citizens and security operatives, saying the violence is unwarranted and represents the highest level of cruelty and crimes against humanity.

“We are also alarmed at the audacity with which violent nonstate actors are unleashing violence on security forces, including military personnel, who put their lives on the line to protect citizens,” the governor said in a statement on Tuesday.

“We stand by the government, the security forces, and the good people of Katsina at these trying times. We ask Allaah to forgive the victims and comfort their families. We are confident that the security agencies will hunt down the criminals involved in these crimes against humanity.”
